Cold in Birmingham

I post occasional entries about where we get to on holiday so
thought I would post a view site reviews. First our Feb half term trip earlier
in the year when it snowed!

We stayed at the Chapel Lane Caravan Club site near
Birmingham; a site to the usual high standards with lots of hard standing
pitches; electric hook up ensuring we were warm and snug in the van. Lori and I
used to live in Warwickshire so we took the kids to Kenilworth Castle &
Coventry Motor Museum. English Heritage’s health and safety team should be
congratulated because it was open even though the steps were treacherous with
people slipping on the snow they stayed open. [Last year we took out English
Heritage membership which, although not as good value for money as the National
Trust has enabled us to visit lots of EH properties this year; a very middle
class activity  – using history for
entertainment].

Cadbury World and the NEC are both nearby, making it a great
place for a weekend stay.
