We’ve stayed at the Black Horse Farm Caravan Club site before
on our way to or from France;
this time we stayed for a few days after Easter. During which time we visited Dover
Castle and War time tunnels (a fascinating
day out) and walked out along the white cliffs to the old Dover
light house. We took a trip inthe opposite direction towards Dungeness taking
in the Dymchurch Martello tower, ice creams and the Royal
Military Canal.
There is a facinating museum about the Battle of Britain less than a mile away and the Battle of Britain memorial is nearby
Folkestone itself is, to use a phrase, ripe for investment,
but the surrounding area is good.
